Thrust bearings are the heart of any directional drilling rig.  These axial bearings must be able to withstand the abuse of repeated hammering and continuous pullback forces found in large capacity rigs. We design bearing boxes with a minimum service factor of 2.0  on thrust/pullback for extended operating life.

Standard unit shown above for Hydrex hydraulic motors in either single or tandem  mounting configuration.  Example shown has a 600 tons pullback/thrust 90,000 lb.ft. torque capacity.  Custom sizes are available in all capacities.  Rifle bored shafts per customer specification.  Includes mud swivels.
